Bed Bugs in Vancouver Provincial Courthouse

According to the Province Newspaper recent inspections have revealed that in addition to Rats and Mice, a common pest in older buildings downtown, that the courthouse is also infested with Bed Bugs.

Bed Bugs have made an aggressive return to the spotlight in recent decades as the primary chemical used to kill them in the past, DDT was prohibited.

Now, property owners must rely on more eco-friendly products to eradicate them and their resilience means that in order to kill them properly the secret lies more in the application and knowledge of the technician rather than harsh pesticides.

Unlike their rodent brethren, Bed Bugs carry a more severe social stigma. Although Health Canada says there is no medical side effects from Bed Bug bites the psychological trauma can be much worse and creates an uncomfortable working environment.
